TITLE: Fernwood
CLIENT: Botanical Garden New Education Center Donor Wall Installation Buchanan, Michigan

DATE: October 2018 –Spring 2019

DIMENSIONS: varying depending on application

DESCRIPTION: We were honored for the opportunity to create this project for Fernwood’s new education center designed by noted Chicago architects, Stanley Tigerman and Margaret McCurry.  Fernwood is a beautiful arboretum, botanical garden and nature preserve located in Harbor County’s Buchanan, Michigan. With the new education center, Fernwood becomes a legacy of preservation and education.

Our installation honors the donors who made this new building possible.  Organic undulating extended wood branches feature various colored porcelain charms.  Each porcelain charm is imprinted with the donor name and hangs from the walnut branches with brass fastners.

Please check out Fernwood’s website for more information http://www.fernwoodbotanical.org/
